Aligned Data Centers-owned Odata has broken ground on its fifth Brazilian data center in the São Paulo metropolitan region.
In a recent LinkedIn post, the Latin American data center firm announced the construction of its SP04 facility has begun.
Specifications of the facility have not yet been shared.
Located on Rua Herman in Industrial Anhanguera Oscasco, the facility will join the company’s three existing data centers in the area - SP01, SP02, SP03 - as well as the RJ01 site in Rio de Janeiro.
The São Paulo data centers currently offer a combined capacity of more than 62.6MW, with SP02 being the largest and offering 40MW.
Odata also has two data centers operational in Chile, one in Mexico, and one in Columbia. The company has also planned two more facilities in Mexico, in Guanajuato and El Marques.
Odata was founded in 2015 by Patria Investments and later sold to Aligned Data Centers in 2022. Odata specializes in collection services and has eight data centers in its current portfolio across Latin America.
Ascenty, Equinix, Scala, and Microsoft also have a presence in the São Paulo region.
