Christus Health has become the latest organization to announce a data center in San Antonio. The Dallas-based Catholic-based health care system has purchased 10 acres in Westover Hills with the intention of building a US$21 million, 43,000-square-foot data center. It also plans to expand the data center in 25,000-square-foot increments as necessary in the coming years.
The company is considering whether to allow another firm to build its data center and lease it back, George Conklin, Christus Health's senior vice president and chief information officer commented. Christus runs more than 40 hospitals in seven states, including nonprofit Christus Santa Rosa Health Care Corp. in San Antonio.
