New AI cloud firm MoirAI Cloud has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round.
The company is being backed by unnamed "prominent angel investors," and claims that its AI cloud software offering can reduce power waste by as much as 95 percent.
"The way AI and cloud infrastructure scale today is wildly inefficient. We're changing that," said Robert Twitchell, CEO of MoirAI Cloud. "Our software doesn't just cut waste —it unlocks productivity and business growth for AI and its users."
The software offering optimizes power usage, cooling, and server efficiency, with the company stating it could massively reduce costs for data center operators.
According to MoirAI's website, the software enables clouds and data centers to "dynamically shift resources and storage, monitoring overall power usage, and interactive problem-solving with an AI collaborator to make you as efficient as possible."
The pre-seed funding will be used to expand MoirAI Cloud's team, scale product development, and create partnerships with other companies.
The company was founded in 2024 by Robert Twitchell who also serves as CTO of Code-X, a data security company, and has previously worked in networking roles at several other companies.
