Contractor Metlen has completed the final construction of Digital Realty's Athens-3 data center in Greece.
The 6.8MW facility in Koropi, Attica, originally launched back in 2022, and now has a total building size of 8,600 sqm (28,215 sq ft).
Metlen, through subsidiary M Power Projects, said that it had completed the final phase of its contract with Digital Realty.
The facility operates alongside Digital's Athens-1 & Athens-2 (ATH1 & ATH2) and Heraklion-1 (HER1) data centers. The company also operates a facility in Crete.
Digital entered Greece in 2020 with the acquisition of Lamda Hellix, which at the time was operating Athens-1 and -2.
The broader data center giant now operates more than 300 facilities across 50 metros.
