Malaysian data center developer Cahya Suria Services and Chinese tech company Suzhou EnnoThing Technology have partnered to develop a digital park for data centers in Perak, Malaysia.

Dubbed the NexQuantum AI Digital Park, will be developed through a joint venture called NexQuantum 1 and is valued at around RM1 billion ($253m).

A 32MW data center called NQ1 will be built as the park’s flagship data center project. Seven more facilities have been proposed, according to a report by the New Straits Times.

Details about the size and capacity of these other data centers and the completion times for the projects were not provided. The exact location of the park is also unknown.

Perak is a state in northwestern peninsular Malaysia.

Cahya Suria Services says that it specializes in “developing high-performance data center infrastructure.” It is unclear whether the company has previously developed data centers.

Prior to 2021, it was known as Renosun International, a company that specialized in providing solar panel systems.
