Managed services provider Logicalis is expanding its US data center infrastructure to Dayton, Ohio, with modular data center provider IO.
Logicalis already has space with IO at the provider's Phoenix, Arizona, and Edison, New Jersey, data centers. The Dayton site will add a central-US location to its east and west coast presence.
Logicalis senior director of data center solutions Kevin Gruneisen said the company had developed trust in Phoenix-based IO over the few years of the relationship. “Our customers who have experienced the IO differences have asked us to expand our footprint to a central location with IO,” he said.
The new site will expand services available to Logicalis' dedicated cloud customers and offers a new failover location to customers served by the two other locations.
The site completes Logicalis' nationwide data center strategy.
IO sells data center space within its pre-fabricated IO.Anywhere modules, housed in large warehouses in North America and Asia. The company also has a stand-alone data center infrastructure management (DCIM) product called IO.OS.
