Japanese technology firm I-Net has launched a new data center in Yokohama.

The company this week announced the official opening of its I-Net annex facility in Yokohama City.

The facility is located within the Kanagawa Business Division of NTT East Corporation's facilities. Plans to launch the facility were announced last year.

The facility totals 380 sqm, offering space for 100 racks and 600kW of capacity.

I-Net was founded in 1971 as Fuji Consult Co., Ltd. to provide outsourcing services. I-Net launched its data center business in Yokohama in 1997. Today, it has four data center sites across the country. As well as colocation and hosting, the company offers cloud services under the Easy Cloud name.

The company’s first facility launched in Yokohama in 1998, with the second site in the city launching in 2009 and expanded with a second building in 2014. In total, the firm has four facilities across two sites in Yokohama, able to accommodate some 3,000 racks across 22,000 sqm.

Outside Yokohama, I-Net’s east facility in Chubu launched in 2015, and the west facility in Kansai in 2017. It has another site in Hokkaido.

In December, I-Net announced it would be ending services out of its original Yokohama data center from December 2026, stopping colocation, hosting, management, and other services out of the building.

The company deployed solar panels at its second Yokohama data center in March 2025.
