A significant winter snowstorm has caused Internet and power outages across Maine and New Hampshire.
The day-long storm has left more than 200,000 thousand without connectivity in New England.
"An ice and snow storm has disrupted Internet connectivity in Maine and New Hampshire with power and telecoms lines downed, leaving hundreds of thousands of subscribers cut off," outage tracker NetBlocks said on Twitter/X.
Residential energy provider Eversource has asked customers to report downed power lines, but warned to treat them as if they are live - keeping at least 35 feet away from them or anything they fall on.
Those operating generators should keep them outside and at least 10 feet away from a building, with the exhaust facing away from the house.
