Indian media firm Adhikari Brothers is pivoting towards data centers.

In a BSE announcement this week, the company announced a planned name change and pivot towards developing data centers.

The company will change its name from Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network Limited to Aqylon Nexus Limited, and has proposed plans to set up a 50MW AI and green data center campus in Telangana.

Further details on the proposed data center campus haven’t been shared.

The move will reportedly create a “strategic sovereign compute platform that will support India’s national AI ambitions and strengthen digital, defence, governance, enterprise, and archival infrastructure.”

Founded in 1985 and listed in 1995, Adhikari Brothers is an Indian television production company. The firm launched the Hindi-language comedy channel SAB TV in 1999, which was bought by Sony in 2005.

Hyderabad is the main data center hub in the state of Telangana. Other operators in Hyderabad include NTT, CtrlS, Nxtra, Microsoft, Amazon, STT GDC, Pi, CapitaLand, and WebWerks/Iron Mountain.
