Cloud solutions provider INAP has announced an expansion of its Redondo Beach, Los Angeles data center.
The planned expansion will increase the power capacity of the facility from 1.4MW to 3.2 MW, as well as add 12,000 square feet of usable space.

Infrastructure-as-a-service provider DediPath will be the anchor tenant for the expansion after the company signs a multi-year colocation services agreement for a megawatt of power.
DediPath originally partnered with INAP in 2018 for data center and network services in its New York-New Jersey Metro flagship data center, and has expanded its footprint with INAP ever since.
Andrew Day, COO of INAP, said: “Driven by high demand and capacity constraints in the LA market, we have seen accelerated growth in our LA data center dating back to the end of 2017. We are excited to welcome DediPath as the anchor tenant in this newly expanded space and support them as their sole LA provider."

INAP took a similar approach to filling out new space in a Phoenix, Arizona data center. Last year the cloud services provider took out a master lease in a Arizona data center with Bank of America as an anchor tenant. INAP operates 53 data centers worldwide with 102 points of presence.
