Huawai has launched a three-availability zone cloud region in Manila, the Philippines.

At its Huawei Cloud Philippines Summit in Manila this week, the company announced the launch of the Philippines Region. The region offers three availability zones and more than 100 cloud services.

Wang Wen, CEO of Huawei Cloud Philippines, claimed the company has become "the preferred cloud for many local top players." He said: "Looking ahead, Huawei Cloud remains committed to building cloud infrastructure that is tailored to customer needs and aims to bring digital solutions to every Filipino.”

Details of which data centers Huawei was using weren’t shared, but Digital Halo, PLDT’s Vitro, and STT GDC all posted on LinkedIn outing their involvement.

Huawei operates 33 cloud regions and 96 availability zones. Huawei Cloud currently has more than a dozen international regions across Singapore; Bangkok, Thailand; Jakarta, Indonesia; Dublin, Ireland; Istanbul, Turkey; Johannesburg, South Africa; Cairo, Egypt; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Mexico City (x2), Mexico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Lima, Peru; and Santiago, Chile. It has a number of regions across China and Hong Kong.
