The vice president, general manager, and head of platform at Google Cloud is set to depart.
Amit Zavery spent the last five and a half years at Google, joining from Oracle Cloud along with Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian.
"The decision to leave Google is one of the toughest I’ve ever made," Zavery said on LinkedIn. "Helping grow Google Cloud from $7.3 billion to over $41bn in annualized revenue and contributing to the creation of the world’s fourth-largest enterprise software company, has been a career-defining privilege."
He added: "Among the many positives, one stands out above all: the opportunity to learn from my mentor and friend, Thomas Kurian. Over the span of more than 25 years - between Oracle and Google - I’ve had the privilege of reporting to Thomas."
At Google, Zavery said that he was GM for building solutions for no-code app development, business process automation, application integration, and API management. He was also GM of the cloud digital and commerce platform, Cloud Web3 services, and India-based development centers.
Zavery did not disclose where he plans to work next.
