European cloud provider Gcore has launched a generative artificial intelligence (AI) cluster using Nvidia A100 and H100 Tensor Core GPUs.

The cluster currently consists of 20 servers with Nvidia A100 GPUs. Later this year, Gcore intends to add an additional 128 servers with Nvidia H100 GPUs to its Luxembourg cluster and another 25 with A100 GPUs.

The new generative AI cluster is located in Luxembourg. The cloud provider already had an AI IPU-based offering in the country, another in Amsterdam, and a third in Wales.

The new cluster will enable users to accelerate their AI and machine learning (ML) training.

Users will have direct access to the AI clusters and deployments using the managed Kubernetes with Nvidia GPU nodes and will be able to set up workspaces in MLOps and large-scale models.

"We at Gcore are immensely proud to be a part of the transformation and development of the AI landscape," said Andre Reitenbach, CEO at Gcore.

"With the launch of Gcore’s Generative AI Cluster, we are ushering in a new era of opportunities for AI development and research in Europe and the UK. This launch underlines Gcore’s commitment to providing cutting-edge infrastructure and fostering AI-driven innovation.”

Gcore has PoPs in over 140 regions and more than 20 cloud locations. The company was founded in 2014, first launching its CDN and hosting services in 2016.

Other companies developing cloud-based AI solutions include Australia's Firmus, AWS, Oracle, and Lambda Labs which has raised $44 million to build its own AI cloud.
