Eviden and Supermicro have entered into a strategic collaboration to distribute Supermicro’s Nvidia GB200 NVL72 AI SuperCluster offering across Europe, India, the Middle East, and South America.
According to a statement from the companies, Eviden will provide customers in those geographies access to the servers as part of a larger infrastructure offering.
The Nvidia GB200 NVL72 is a system made up of 72 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs and 36 Arm-based Nvidia Grace CPUs, connected via fifth-generation Nvidia NVLink. Each GB200 NVL72 offers more than one exaflop of training performance.
“Collaborating with Eviden enables us to greatly expand our presence in Europe and tap into Eviden’s extensive market knowledge,” said Charles Liang, Supermicro’s president and CEO. “Supermicro’s AI SuperCluster with Nvidia GB200 NVL72 is quickly gaining market traction, and together with Eviden, we are poised to deliver unparalleled AI systems and service to businesses across Europe, India, the Middle East, and South America."
Eviden EVP Emmanuel Le Roux added: “This collaboration will create a new paradigm of energy efficiency for the rapidly heightened energy demand of AI infrastructure. It aligns with our commitment to delivering the most advanced AI solutions and reinforces our position as a leader in the HPC & AI computing industry."
Speaking after Supermicro posted its Q1 2025 earnings in mid-February, Liang credited the transition to Blackwell GPUs as a driver for the company’s revenue growth.
However, on Supermicro’s earnings call after the results were published, Liang told analysts that demand for Blackwell was continuing to outstrip supply, meaning that the company was currently “waiting for more allocation” from Nvidia so it could start shipping GB200 NVL72s at a much higher volume.
