EQT is working with UBS Group AG to identify potential bidders.

Radius' Italian unit leases properties to wireless carriers, tower companies, and other digital infrastructure companies.

Bloomberg estimates that the unit could be valued at more than €1 billion ($1.2 billion).

The newswire reports that interest in the unit could come from international infrastructure investors, while those interested have been told to submit non-binding offers by late July.

It's not known what the size of the stake up for sale is expected to be.

Radius was founded in 2010 and operates around 7,000 sites across 21 countries. The company works with 36 tower operators and 64 mobile network carriers.
