Elektros, a US-based electric mobility and lithium-ion battery developer, is to build data centers for artificial intelligence (AI).
The company has announced development plans with Next Realm AI to establish a network of private AI data centers specializing in small language models (SLMs) and AI agents tailored to targeted industry sectors across the US.
"Our strategic alignment with Elektros comes at a pivotal moment as SLMs and AI Agents emerge as game-changing technologies for enterprise automation,” said Tom Bustamante, CEO of Next Realm.
Elektros plans to leverage its expertise in lithium-ion batteries and renewable sources to support the development of efficient and sustainable AI data centers.
According to the companies, the partners will also explore the potential of 'Large Action Models' to revolutionize how businesses interact with digital and physical systems.
Elektros is evaluating federal grants and contracts following the incoming Trump administration's commitment to supporting the data center sector. It is developing a framework for potential proposals this year that align with key initiatives from federal agencies.
Founded in 2017, Next Realm AI is a division of AI Venturetech that connects public and private businesses in AI, Quantum Computing, and other high-tech areas.
Elektros was incorporated in 2020 and is based in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. It has predominantly focused on developing electric vehicle charging solutions, lithium mining, solar energy storage, and power supply for AI data centers.
