Duos Edge AI, a subsidiary of software company Duos Technologies Group, will deploy another Edge data center at a carpark in Amarillo, Texas.

On January 26, local officials approved a lease agreement with Duos Edge AI, with the former leasing approximately 12,600 sq ft (1,170 sqm) of land in a car park to the latter for a five-year term.

The facility is expected to be operational by the end of March, according to a report by KFDA.

Duos Edge already operates an Edge data center in Amarillo, which provides computing and data processing services for the Region 16 Education Service Center, which is an organization that provides support and training for local schools.

It is unclear whether the new facility will be used for the same purpose.

Founded in 2001 and based in Jacksonville, Florida, Duos offers vision-based technology solutions to automate inspections of trains, trucks, and automobiles while in motion. The company launched a new Edge unit last year and raised $2.2m in funding for the initial roll-out.
