Established in 2018, Atlantic Hub is looking to develop data center campuses across the island of Ireland. The company recently received planning permission for its debut campus in Derry, Northern Ireland. At full build-out, the 100MW, 12-hectare site at the Foyle Port Innovation Park in Maydown could total four buildings and 1 million sq ft (93,000 sqm) of technical space.

The project has been in the planning phase for several years - planning permission for this campus was first submitted back in 2018. Outline planning permission was secured for four data centers on the site in 2020 - though with conditions attached. Site preparation work began in 2022 after those conditions were met.

The company is also working on a campus in County Donegal, Ireland. The 100MW campus is planned at the Letterkenny Technology Park.

Brian Doherty, managing director & CEO of Atlantic Hub, added: “We are excited to have gained DTCP as our new investor and to develop Atlantic Hub together into a leading data center operator. DTCP’s strong track record across the data center industry allows Atlantic Hub to capitalize on the sizable opportunity that lies ahead. We look forward to working alongside DTCP as they support Atlantic Hub to reach its full potential in the growing data center market.”
