European data center firm Data4 has launched a new facility outside Warsaw, Poland.

The company this week announced that it had inaugurated the second data center at its campus in Jawczyce, in the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki near Warsaw.

The new facility provides 10MW of capacity.

The company commissioned the first building of its Jawczyce campus in 2023. Once fully built out, the 4-hectare campus will total 60MW across 50,000 sqm (538,195 sq ft), including around 15,000 sqm (161,458 sq ft) of IT space.

“Expanding the Jawczyce campus clearly demonstrates that Poland remains one of Data4’s key markets in Europe. We are developing infrastructure in a phased and predictable way, combining high technical standards with a responsible environmental approach and close cooperation with the local community in the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki. Reliable digital infrastructure is today a prerequisite for the continued growth of the digital economy,” said Adam Ponichtera, country managing director Poland, Data4.

To date, Data4 says it has invested nearly €200 million ($233.6m) in Poland, and plans to triple that amount by 2030 to €600m ($701m).

Data4 said 60 percent of the new facility was built using prefabricated modules prepared off-site.

Data4 was established back in 2006 by Colony Capital (now DigitalBridge) and has been owned by Brookfield since April 2023. The company currently operates more than 30 data centers in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, and Greece, totaling around 1.5GW.
