Direct-to-chip liquid cooling company Chilldyne, has released a plug-and-play cooling distribution unit (CDU) offering it is calling a data center liquid cooling starter kit.
Chilldyne has patents on "negative pressure" liquid cooling technology, which uses a low flow-rate and low pressure, so if there is a leak, the fluid moves away from the electronics rather than leaking.
The company said the system is designed to prepare data centers for AI workloads and help data centers tool up faster and be ready to cool the next generation of chips coming from the likes of Nvidia, Intel, AMD, and others.
The standard starter kit includes two CF-CDU300 CDUs for negative pressure liquid cooling and cold plates rated up to 2,000-watt TDP. Hybrid air-liquid options for backup cooling are available. The system supports up to 150 kW cooling per rack.
Chilldyne said the A/B redundant liquid cooling system ensures maximum uptime and reliability and has no single point of failure.
"We are excited to introduce our data center liquid cooling starter kit to the market," said Dr. Steve Harrington, CEO of Chilldyne. "Our goal is to develop real, practical liquid cooling solutions that address the growing challenges faced by HPC and colocation data center operators in the era of artificial intelligence. By offering a Liquid Cooling Starter Kit capable of supporting high-density racks, we are confident that we can help our customers achieve their goals of increased efficiency, sustainability, and reliability."
Chilldyne has previously partnered with Schneider Electric.
Danfoss launches liquid cooling quick connector
This week also saw Danfoss Power Solutions launch its Blind Mate Quick Connector for data center liquid cooling applications.
The connector enables blind connection of the server chassis to the manifold at the rear of the rack, and reportedly compensates for angular and radial misalignment of up to 5 millimeters and 2.7 degrees.
Compliant with soon-to-be-released Open Compute Project Open Rack V3 specifications, the company said the connector simplifies installation and maintenance of inner rack servers while increasing reliability and efficiency.
