Combined, BDx secured 1.2GW of power from the utility, the single largest power commitment secured by any data center operator in Indonesia.

The agreements include a 788MVA deal for grid power to support operations at BDx’s flagship 500MW CGK4 AI Campus in Jatiluhur, West Java, and the successful energization of its CGK3A data center in Cilandak, South Jakarta, which enabled BDx to expand its power capacity to 60MVA. The final deal saw the company secure up to 385MVA of power at its CGK5 in Suryacipta, West Java.

“Reliable and scalable power is foundational to Indonesia’s AI and digital infrastructure development. PLN’s professionalism and execution have been critical to expanding our capacity across Jakarta and West Java. This collaboration supports the build‑out of resilient, AI‑ready infrastructure that can meet long‑term demand from enterprise, hyperscale, and sovereign workloads,” said Agus Hartono Wijaya, CEO of BDx Indonesia.

The deal builds on a previous agreement between the two parties, under which BDx signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the utility for 30MVA of power.

“PLN remains committed to supporting strategic digital industries through reliable and scalable power infrastructure. Our collaboration with BDx reflects PLN’s role in enabling Indonesia’s AI and digital economy to grow in a resilient and sustainable manner,” said Adi Priyanto, director of Retail & Commerce of PLN.

BDx Indonesia is the Indonesian subsidiary of BDx Data Centers. The company has a broad range of data centers and Edge facilities across the APAC region, including Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Taiwan.

It broke ground on CGK3A in 2023. Located in the TB Simatupang area of South Jakarta, the facility is set to span 14,125 sqm (152,000 sq ft). The existing CGK3 offers 2MW across 1,200 sqm (12,915 sq ft) of white space.

In July 2024, BDx completed phase one of its 500MW CGK4 campus, with the initial phase offering 70MW across (44,670 sq ft) of white space. According to BDx, the data center is one of the first in Indonesia to have Nvidia DGX-Ready certification.

BDx is currently developing its CGK5 data center in Karawang, east of Jakarta. The project is expected to have a capacity of 100MW at full buildout. The completion date of the project has not been shared.
