AMD has partnered with Indian tech company HCLTech to boost the development of solutions across AI, digital, and cloud.

Described as a “strategic alliance,” the partnership will support the creation of a “robust digital ecosystem,” the two companies said in a statement.

This will include joint investments in innovation labs and training programs, the former of which will serve as testbeds for advanced technologies. Meanwhile, workforce training and reskilling initiatives “will ensure that enterprises are well-equipped to navigate the evolving digital landscape,” the statement added.

As part of the agreement, HCLTech will also work with hyperscalers, tech OEMs, and ISVs to deliver “full-stack cloud native innovation from silicon to application,” the company said.

The announcement follows a run of acquisitions for AMD, including the purchase of Enosemi at the end of May 2025 and the $4.9bn acquisition of ZT Systems in March of this year. In early June, AMD announced it had acquired software optimization startup Brium for an undisclosed amount and was bringing the staff from recently shuttered AI chip startup Untether AI into its fold.
