AlphaTon Capital Corp has signed a data center leasing agreement for 2.2MW of capacity from atNorth for a data center in Sweden.

AlphaTon is a technology company that says it "bridges institutional capital with the Telegram-based crypto ecosystem." However, it seems to be seeking to launch a GPU-as-a-Service offering.

According to the company, this is its first "major data center colocation contract." It aims to help the company expand its critical infrastructure for decentralized AI computing.

The lease agreement will begin in February 2026 and run for five years at the SWE01 data center in Kista, Sweden.

Initially spanning 2.2MW, the contract has the potential for expansion to 4.3MW. AlphaTon will deploy thousands of "enterprise-grade" GPUs in multiple clusters in the data center and aims to capitalize on the AI infrastructure-as-a-service market.

The initial deployment is planned to surpass 2,000 GPUs, and possibly reach 4,000 in the future.

This facility gives us the capacity to scale rapidly while maintaining the performance and reliability standards required for mission-critical applications," said Enzo Villani, executive chairman and CIO of AlphaTON Capital.

The SWE01 data center is located in Kista, a suburb of Stockholm. It offers 12MW of capacity across 6,400 sqm (68,890 sq ft). The site is also home to Swedish cloud provider 6G AI Sweden.

Earlier this year, atNorth sold its HPC-as-a-Service offering, Gompute, to Advania.
