1623 Farnam, a data center in Nebraska, has completed its most recent expansion project.

The company this month announced the completion of a facility expansion at its flagship, carrier-neutral data center in Omaha.

The project, which adds the facility’s final two data halls, brings an additional 1.5MW of IT capacity and space for 280 racks online. The newly completed data halls are now ready for customer move-ins.

This expansion ensures we’re ready to meet that demand — both for our existing customers and new entrants to the market."

News Press & Gazette Co. subsidiary Berks Group acquired Nebraska Data Centers and the carrier hotel at 1623 Farnam Street in Omaha in 2018, and established 1623 Farnam LLC as a new company. The nine-story facility offers around 8MW of capacity across 75,000 sq ft (6,970 sqm).

1623 Farnam previously completed a $10 million expansion in 2019 to build out the facility's fifth-floor space, and added floors six-nine in 2021. The facility is also home to the OmahaIX and some 60 carriers.

The facility reportedly serves Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the holding company of President Donald Trump, through which he operates his Truth Social platform and Truth+ streaming service.

Other operators in Omaha include H5, TierPoint, LightEdge, Lumen, Cogent, and Google.
