Panel discussion: When building a billion-dollar campus, can a Tier 4 location be as valuable as a Tier 1 market?

The global mega cities of London, Singapore and New York have long been home to a rich financial centre, a dense population and unrivaled technological innovation, but they do not necessarily top the list of viable locations for computing infrastructure.

A new crop of rural counties across the United States are now able to take advantage of the spiraling costs attached to doing business in the ‘big city’ with offers of developable land, a robust energy infrastructure and attractive tax exemptions.

We ask industry representatives about the challenges they face in courting an influx of capital from the owners of digital infrastructure as they assess which locations offer the most ping, power and pipe for their buck.
