Panel: How will metric standardization allow companies to reach their 2030 goals?
With more and more data centers adopting stringent sustainability reporting protocols, environmental impact arguably now sits on a par with financial reporting. Whilst the digital infrastructure industry underpins both the economy and modern communications, its high level of energy consumption, rapid expansion and water usage means that it requires its own metrics. Standardizing these metrics is crucial to adoption and measuring progress within the industry.
In this episode, speakers will discuss how the sector can move towards a more defined standard on industry sustainability. What are the most relevant sustainability frameworks and standards to guide operations and how can these be leveraged to both meet regulated and self-regulatory requirements? Critically, speakers will explore how the industry could move towards standardization in practice, and what would be the impact from an operational perspective.
