Enterprise Data Center Evolution Award
The decisions taken by enterprise organizations are the core of the data center ecosystem, impacting the direction and fortunes of all supply sectors. Many enterprise companies still manage and house at least some of their IT on-prem but many more recognize the need for a hybrid IT strategy in order to operate in a world driven by digital and business transformation.
Success in this category will be based on demonstrating to the judges a process of data center evolution that enables the enterprise to meet all the required objectives of its IT strategy, including on-premises projects, cloud or colocation migration projects, and hybrid IT projects. Consideration will be given to the adoption of options that are logical, business-driven and innovative, and which provide added leverage in reaching the stated objectives.
- All or part of the evolution project or initiative will be completed by 1st September 2022.
- All or most of the key work on the evolution has been conducted since 1st September 2021.
- The project or initiative must be undertaken specifically for or by an enterprise organization (financial services, healthcare, transport, logistics, retail, Government etc) in order to service their own IT requirements.
- Vendors, consulting engineers, contractors and service providers can nominate projects or initiatives on behalf of their clients and tenants and assist in the preparation of the entry, however the primary recipient of the award will be the enterprise end-user/operator. The contribution of a vendor, consultant or contractor will be acknowledged in publicity associated with the entry.
