Congratulations to our 2021 category winner: Bouygues E&S VIRTUS LONDON7 Data Center Delivery Team

This was a technically challenging project at the VIRTUS London 7 facility involving the delivery of both a 9MW liquid-cooled HPC Center and a 28MW IT build. As the projects progressed through 2021, they faced limitations imposed by COVID-19. But they also needed to cope with the flexibility of designs that needed to change with specification requirements and delayed decision-making. This required specific innovations, for example, testing M&E using electric boilers to replicate the HPC load. The team also faced the challenges of working in a live hyperscale environment and needing to deal with different distribution and cooling systems.
