Growing Chinese enterprises

“We recognize the importance of global expansion, particularly to China, for international enterprises. By providing direct connectivity to an innovative, global cloud provider like Alibaba Cloud, we can further support our customers’ business expansion and partner with them in their cloud-based digital transformation strategies,” said Kenji Hioki, Colt’s president for Asia.

Leo Liu, Alibaba Cloud GM for Hong Kong, Macau, and Korea, added: “We’re very pleased to work with Colt as our [network service provider] partner. Alibaba Cloud has built up over 13 regions in Asia and partnering with a dependable cloud connectivity service provider like Colt is key to our success. We are looking forward to seeing further digital transformations realized by our collaboration."

In recent years, Alibaba Cloud has shot to the forefront of the global public cloud league as it expands rapidly outside China, buoyed by the international requirements of growing Chinese companies who already deploy workloads on Alibaba Cloud in China - where it is the top public cloud platform.

The Chinese cloud giant is currently considered one of the top three cloud platform in the world behind Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. It has a robust footprint in Southeast Asia, with cloud regions available at regions such as Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

It is also available in Australia, Japan, India, and Hong Kong.
