Jeff OmelchuckExecutive Director, Infrastructure Masons
Working closely with the iMasons Board of Directors and staff, Jeff is responsible for overall strategy and execution to meet iMason’s mission, planning, budget and financial management, with a particular focus on meeting iMason’s gender and other diversity goals, education and university partnerships, mentorship and intern programs, and oversight of iMason’s corporate giving program – the iMasons Fund.
Prior to joining iMasons, Jeff founded the Green Electronics Council and managed its flagship program, EPEAT, from start-up to become the premiere eco-rating program for electronics on the planet. EPEAT is used by thousands of public organizations and private enterprises world-wide to specify and choose greener electronics. In 2012 the combined purchase spend on electronics of these large purchasers topped $50 billion USD, and it continues to grow. This large market for EPEAT-registered more-sustainable electronics attracted the participation of all leading multinational manufacturers of PCs, displays, printer-like products, TVs, mobile phones, and in 2018 servers, improving the business case for making more-sustainable electronics worldwide. As Executive Director of GEC and of EPEAT, Jeff led this industry-changing, mission-driven nonprofit from start-up to global market leadership.
Jeff started his career in the tech industry in the Silicon Valley, and later owned and managed a small consultancy. He received an MS from Stanford University on an Executive Fellowship in the Honors Co-op Program. He lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is an avid(ish) backcountry skier and road cyclist.
