Valerie Crafton is a nationally recognized leader in digital infrastructure, modular construction, and mission-critical facilities with more than 30 years of experience in construction and over two decades dedicated to the data center industry. Throughout her career, she has helped deliver some of the world's most complex and innovative technology infrastructure projects, leading initiatives from early site selection and preconstruction through commissioning and operational readiness. As CRO at Mod42, Valerie is helping transform how data centers are designed, manufactured, and deployed through advanced volumetric modular construction. She works with hyperscale's, AI infrastructure providers, developers, utilities, and technology partners to accelerate deployment while improving quality, sustainability, and predictability. Beyond her executive leadership, Valerie is a passionate advocate for workforce development and the future of the construction industry. She serves as the Phoenix Chapter Lead for iMWomen, is an active member of Infrastructure Masons (iMasons), and founded Hands-On Heroes, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in the skilled trades. She is also the creator and host of the Hands-On Heroes podcast, where she explores the people, innovation, and leadership shaping the future of digital infrastructure. A sought-after keynote speaker, Valerie is known for making complex technical topics accessible while challenging audiences to rethink how the industry builds for an AI-driven future. Her presentations focus on innovation, leadership, modular construction, sustainability, workforce development, and the evolution of digital infrastructure. Valerie holds an MBA, is a LEED Accredited Professional and Six Sigma Green Belt, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Digitization in recognition of her contributions to advancing digital infrastructure and innovation. She is also the recipient of the Infrastructure Masons People's Champion Award for her leadership and service to the industry.
