Tony Day
CTO, EdgeNebulaTony Day is a Chartered Architect and mechanical engineer with extensive experience in data centre design, engineering, and construction. He most recently served as Director of Business Development in the CTO Office at Schneider Electric, retiring in 2019.
Throughout his career, Tony has led the design and build of over six million square feet of data centre space across Europe, pioneered modular and liquid-cooled solutions, and held senior roles at Waterfield’s, Tecnikon, I-Age Projects, APC, and Schneider Electric. He authored patents for early modular DC systems and was awarded a UK Government DTI Smart Award in 2003.
Post-retirement, he has continued contributing as CTO and consultant with Smart Edge Datacentre Services, Aqua Cooling, Stulz, ExxFire, and Marine and Civil Services. He currently serves as CTO of EdgeNebula Ltd, developing sustainable, distributed edge data centre networks for low-impact, high-efficiency deployments.
Tony has advised clients including Ferrari F1, Deutsche Bank, and Capgemini, and has contributed to sustainability initiatives like Masdar City and the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centre Energy Efficiency.
