Stephen Major
Chief Product Officer,, VeirStephen Major leads product vision and strategy at VEIR as Chief Product Officer, overseeing product management, program management, and solutions engineering to accelerate the commercialization of VEIR's superconducting power delivery platform. He joined VEIR in January 2026, bringing firsthand experience scaling the electrical infrastructure that powers the world's most demanding AI and data center workloads, making him uniquely equipped to lead the product organization at the company built to meet that demand.
Prior to VEIR, Stephen spent more than four years at Amazon Web Services (AWS), most recently as Senior Manager of Data Center Infrastructure Engineering and Head of Electrical Products and Services. There, he led a global team of approximately 60 professionals, drove more than $7B in five-year NPV value, managed a $70M+ annual innovation budget, and spearheaded the development of next-generation electrical architectures enabling high-density machine learning and generative AI workloads. Before AWS, Stephen spent over five years at Vertiv in senior product leadership roles, owning the company's highest-revenue large three-phase UPS portfolio and partnering with more than 60 hyperscale, colocation, telecom, and enterprise customers to align product strategy with market demand. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and product leadership roles at ADB Safegate and Innovative Energy Solutions, delivering mission-critical infrastructure across global markets.
Stephen holds an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
