Prof. Srikanth Rangarajan
Assistant Professor, Chief Thermal Technologist, Binghamton UniversityProf. Srikanth Rangarajan currently works as an Assistant Professor in the School of System Science and Industrial Engineering at Binghamton University. He also serves as the Chief Thermal technologist of the Energy Smart Electronic Systems (ES2) Center at Binghamton University. He received his M.S & Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras 2017.
His research interests include electronics packaging, Digital twinning for electronics and batteries, Thermal energy storage, Thermal Management of electronics, and Data center cooling. Srikanth leads the thermal section of the IEEE Electronics Co-Design chapter.
Srikanth has published 40 international journal articles so far. Srikanth is also the author of the book “Phase Change Material Heat Sinks: A multi-objective Perspective.” Srikanth has received competitive research funding from a broad range of federal and industry-aligned agencies, including ARPA-E, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC), in support of work on advanced thermal management, and AI-assisted optimization of thermal systems.
