Leonard Donnelly
VP, Digital Services and Platform Strategy, VertivLeonard Donnelly is the Vice President of Digital Services and Platform Strategy at Vertiv, where he leads global initiatives in GenAI automation, IoT, computer vision, cloud computing, and digital transformation. He is responsible for advancing Vertiv’s digital service portfolio and integrating AI-driven capabilities across its global infrastructure solutions.
With a career spanning 28 years across cybersecurity, AI, deep tech, cloud, power grids, telecoms, and investment banking. Leonard has built and launched five next-generation technology platforms representing over $400 million in product engineering investment. His experience bridges start-ups and multinationals, with leadership roles encompassing product engineering, customer operations, strategy, and international market expansion.
Before joining Vertiv, Leonard served as CEO of Waylay, a GenAI automation company acquired by Vertiv in 2025. He also chaired the development of Ireland’s National Digital Strategy, an initiative advancing the country’s digital economy.
Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Trinity College in Dublin. He is recognized for combining deep technical insight with strategic leadership to accelerate digital transformation at scale.
