Kenneth Davies

Founder & CEO, Takanock

Kenneth Davies is the Founder and CEO of Takanock, a company reshaping the future of digital infrastructure by solving the data center energy crisis. Formed in 2023, Takanock has pioneered an integrated approach to deliver on-site power solutions that dramatically accelerate data center deployment in constrained Tier I markets. In June 2025, the company secured $500 million in capital commitments from DigitalBridge and ArcLight Capital Partners to scale its solutions in key U.S. markets.

A recognized leader at the intersection of energy and digital infrastructure, Kenneth previously co-founded Birch Infrastructure, where he built and led two platforms—one focused on hyperscale data center development (now Rowan Digital Infrastructure) and the other on utility-scale renewable energy (now Copia Power), both acquired by leading infrastructure investors in 2022.

Earlier in his career, Kenneth served as Director of Innovation for Energy Strategy at Microsoft, where he led the company’s global renewable energy procurement and portfolio management. He began his energy and data center career at Google, where he became the first energy expert on the data center infrastructure team. There, he founded Google Energy and led the company’s first wholesale renewable power deals, setting a precedent for corporate clean energy buying.

He holds a B.S., summa cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Eng. in Operations Research from Cornell University, and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a focus on energy economics.
