Clifford M. Gross
Executive chairman of Tekcapital, TekcapitalGross serves as the CEO of Tekcapital plc (UK), a technology commercialization company focused on transforming university-derived innovations into high-growth enterprises.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning academia, intellectual property strategy, and capital markets, he has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between research laboratories and global markets.
Previously, Gross served as CEO of Innovacorp, the provincial venture capital fund of Nova Scotia, and held senior academic appointments including Acting Director of the Graduate Program in Biomechanics and Ergonomics at New York University, Chairman of the Nelson Rockefeller Department of Biomechanics at the New York Institute of Technology, and Research Professor at the University of South Florida.
He is the author or co-author of several books, including Too Good to Fail: Creating Marketplace Value from the World’s Brightest Minds (Springer, 2013) and Technology Transfer in the Age of GenAI (Springer, 2026, in press), and is a named inventor on more than 50 patents and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors.
His work focuses on the commercialization of intellectual property, AI-enabled innovation ecosystems, and scalable models for translating research into products that can improve the quality of life.
