Clayton Gibbons
Head of Power Systems, SPOC EnergyClayton Gibbons is a recognized leader in power optimization and grid transformation, bringing more than 20 years of experience across industrial power systems, distributed energy resources, and the energy transition. As Head of Power Systems at SPOC Energy, he partners with data center operators to deploy intelligent inverter and DC-native grid architectures that simplify infrastructure, improve efficiency, and enhance resiliency at scale. A graduate of the Texas A&M University Industrial Distribution Program, Clayton brings a system-level, practical perspective to modern data center energy design. Prior to SPOC Energy, he held executive leadership roles at Danfoss and Emerson, where he led commercial strategy and business unit operations in power electronics and energy solutions—helping scale advanced technologies for global, mission-critical applications. Clayton is a strong advocate for modular DC architectures supporting AI-driven, high-density computing. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, saltwater fishing, and spending time with his family.
