Christopher Sullivan
Director, Research & Academic Computing - College of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State UniversityChristopher Sullivan is currently the director of research and academic computing at the College of Earth, Oceans and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University. He works with different faculty researching a diversity of topics, such as identifying plankton in our oceans or modeling species diversity in forests to assembly of genomes. This macro-level perspective provides a unique opportunity to identify and remove limits affecting all research computing. His work has focused on computational science, biocomputing, and life sciences that change the way we look at and interact with the environment. Christopher works tirelessly to find computational limits and help remove them to change the scope of work we can do using computational infrastructures or introduce bias to a research question. Christopher has worked in the field of computational science for 26 years and has co-authored over 50 scientific publications.
