Carl Dunaway
Director, Business Development, North Region,, Wärtsilä EnergyCarl Dunaway is the Director of Business Development for Wärtsilä’s North Region, focused on leading a team of experts serving the thriving Data Center and IPP markets.Carl has 20 years of professional experience across the Americas and Europe securingutility-scale thermal and renewable energy projects as well as long-term services agreements. Carl and his team were also pioneers in developing Wärtsilä’s first three AI-managed engine + battery hybrid projects, as well as Wärtsilä’s first commercial hydrogen fueled engine demonstration.
Prior to joining Wärtsilä, Carl’s career spanned the leadership of Nexterra as Vice President Sales where he led global business development and fostered strategic partnerships with General Electric, Johnson Controls, and Stantec. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia and is accredited from Harvard Business School in Disruptive Strategy. He resides in Vancouver, Canada.
