Dr. Ben Gully is a subject matter expert in lithium-ion batteries with years of impassioned public speaking and scientific publication. He has 15 years’ experience engineering battery and hybrid power solutions across industries such as utility, marine, microgrids and industrial electrification. As Chief Technologist at SPOC Energy, Dr. Gully provides technical leadership for markets and solutions using novel power system architectures and DC configurations, emphasizing smart and effective implementation of energy storage. Dr. Gully has filled roles of executive leadership, CTO, head of R&D, business development and thought leadership. He holds a PhD in battery hybrid power system modeling and controls from the University of Texas.
