Andy Solberg is a Global Technology Leader at Jacobs focused on distributed energy systems and net-zero facility design that enables society’s transition to 100% renewable energy. He has over 25 years of experience in energy planning, building system design and optimization, and distributed energy systems. He currently leads the company’s Facility Modeling and Analytics practice, a team of engineers providing front-end engineering design for renewable energy systems, facility energy/water/wastewater demand and supply modeling, total cost of ownership decision analysis, and airflow and thermal optimization for projects across all of Jacobs’ client sectors. His team’s mission is to identify and quantify the value of innovative integrated design solutions so that they can be quickly incorporated into projects. Such solutions are derived and proven with the use of computer modeling technologies and visualization of technical information.   Andy has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Nevada, Reno, is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He is based out of Jacobs’ Reno, Nevada office, and enjoys skiing, sailing, mountain biking, climbing, and photography.
