Ameya Soparkar is the Worldwide Engineering Lead and Program Manager for HPE Modular Data Center Solutions. A mechanical engineer by education he has around 15 years of industry experience in design, implementation, commissioning and management. He worked in Asia for 5 years as an expatriate manager and established the Engineering Center of Excellence for HPE, which is responsible for delivering data center design and implementation projects worldwide. He has extensive international working experience and has designed and delivered over 100 data center projects in 35 countries across 5 continents.

An expert in energy modeling, free cooling and TCO calculation, he recently led the development of the new version release of TRACE 700 that enhanced the energy modeling capability and accuracy of the software, and added TGG metrics, PUE and WUE to the calculation result. He is a member of TGG Liquid Cooling workgroup and currently working with NREL and DOE on a fuel cell and green energy powered data center.
