Abed Jishi

VP Design, Vantage Data Centers

Serving as vice president of design at Vantage Data Centers, Abed Jishi is responsible for design and production strategies across EMEA, as well as supporting sales, solutions engineering, site development, construction and operations to grow Vantage’s EMEA footprint. With more than 16 years of experience, Jishi is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in data center campus master planning, space programs, and design management.

Before joining Vantage, Jishi served as chief technology officer at Etix Everywhere, a company acquired by Vantage. At Etix, he was responsible for the management and implementation of the technical product vision and roadmap across three continents with 13 operational sites designed to perform differently, including hyperscale, edge, high-performance computing, and crypto mining operations. During this time, Jishi’s efforts were integral in Etix receiving the Africa Energy Innovation of the Year award in 2019, an award recognizing the company for the design of a Tier IV data center with energy supplied through solar production.

Jishi also serves as managing director and chief technology officer of MainDC, a hyperscale data center in Offenbach, Germany, which is part of the Vantage portfolio in partnership with utility provider Energieversorgung Offenbach and general contractor DC-DataCenter-Group.

Among his various work achievements, he holds several certifications, including Certified Data Center Design Professional, Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer, Certified TIA 942 Design Consultant, CompTIA Project+. He is also a member of ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, and Infrastructure Masons.

Jishi received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Technology from the Lebanese American University.
