Advanced Energy Program Development Lead, Trane

Michael Day is the Advanced Energy Program Development Lead for Trane US, Inc. In this role, Mr. Day is responsible for leading development and deployment of Microgrids and Virtual Power Plants for Trane customers. He also leads the development of utility side offerings for North America and has significantly contributed to the development of Trane’s asset integration platform and portfolio of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) technologies. He has almost 30 years of sales and construction experience in the Construction, Energy Storage, Policy, and DER deployment sectors, with specific expertise in integrating and monetizing Functional Energy Storage capabilities and DERs into process facilities, including Data Centers.

Mr. Day graduated from the Naval Nuclear Power School in 1989 and holds multiple patents, including grants in the area of efficient market participation of behind the meter resources and energy storage assets, as well as over a dozen different individual DER technologies.
