The company this week announced that the second data center at its Loudoun County campus is ready for service. Yondr has completed the first 12MW of the new facility's 48MW capacity, with the remainder due to come online in 2026.

Todd Sauer, VP design and construction for the Americas at Yondr Group, said: “This RFS milestone is the latest in a series of achievements across our North American data center portfolio and continues the strong progress we’re making in the important Northern Virginia market.”

Developed in partnership with JK Land Holding, Yondr completed its first 48MW data center at the company’s 96MW campus last year.

The firm has a further 240MW of capacity in the pipeline for an adjacent land parcel, which will bring the total capacity of the campus to 336MW.

Yondr's chief data center officer, John Madden, added: “As demand for capacity continues to increase, we are stepping up our investment in North America, a high-growth, dynamic market full of opportunities. We look forward to expanding in the region and continuing to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet our customers’ evolving digital infrastructure needs.”

Yondr is headquartered in London and was previously owned by single-family investment office Cathexis, Apollo Global Management, and Mubadala. It was acquired by DigitalBridge and Canadian pension fund La Caisse in a deal that closed in July. German financial giant Allianz has since acquired a minority stake in the business.

Yondr operates data center campuses across Europe, Asia, and North America, with developments in Virginia, Texas, Canada, the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, and (until recently) India.
