An explosion at a Vantage data center in San Antonio, Texas, has injured at least one person.
As reported by MYSA, News4SA, and Fox, the San Antonio Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Investigators were called to Vantage’s data center along Wiseman Blvd at around 10.19pm Friday (February 27).
A construction worker was reportedly injured in an alleged explosion near a transformer by the data center. The transformer was near a gas tank, officials said. The cause of the incident has not been detailed yet.
The injured individual was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital. The injuries were described by Fox as “critical,” with KENS 5 describing them as “life-threatening burns.”
People on-site were evacuated as a result of the incident.
