Cyber security experts responsible for the operation of some of Europe’s most important critical infrastructure will convene at the Mission Critical Security Summit in Madrid. Run in conjunction with ISACAs Madrid Chapter, the global IT governance association, the conference is part of the DCD Converged Spain event running at Kinepolis, Madrid on the 7th April this year.
“All critical infrastructures rely on IT systems and networks to operate which makes them vulnerable to possible attacks,” says Massimiliano Falcinelli, Head of Security Infrastructure. “With a constantly evolving socio-political landscape security specialists are finding it difficult to cope. And it’s not easy to patch and upgrade really complex and expensive legacy infrastructures, that were (and often still are) designed around the concepts of reliability and safety, rather than around confidentiality, availability and integrity.”
Joining Mr. Falcinelli on stage will be Silvia Barera from the technology investigation team at the Spanish Police, Oscar Pastor, Head of Security from Isdefe, Spain’s military defence establishment and Francisco Lazaro, CISO, Renfe – Spain’s national railway operator. CISOs and CIOs from across Spain are invited to join the discussion.
Market optimism returns to Spain
With 900+ delegates expected at the 9th annual DatacenterDynamics Spain event this is set to be the largest dedicated industry conference of it’s type in Southern Europe.
