Australian digital infrastructure firm Waveconn has announced it will buy 100 percent of the shares in AT Australia from American Tower Corporation.
The transaction adds 170 sites to Waveconn's portfolio, with the sites made up of mobile towers and building rooftops.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Waveconn owns and operates more than 1,400 sites across Australia. The company's sites provide connectivity for Australia's three national MNOs, government radio networks, and wireless Internet service providers.
The deal is subject to customary conditions, including Foreign Investment Review Board approval. Subject to these conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.
American Tower owns and operates more than 224,000 towers in more than 25 markets.
Separately today, Telecompaper reported that the company also sold its operations in New Zealand to infrastructure company Connexa. Again financial terms were not disclosed, while the deal covers 112 sites.
