London-based Vitus Data Centres has ordered high-bandwidth infrastructure services from Zayo Group to resell to its customers.

Under the agreement Zayo’s portfolio of services - including dark fiber, wavelengths, SDH, Ethernet, and IP services - will be available from Virtus’s London 1 data center in Enfield, north London.

Later this year it said it will be able to connect its London 1 data center with its London 2 data center in Hayes, west London.

Virtus’s CEO Neil Cresswell said the company chose Zayo because it is a bandwidth infrastructure leader with a growing international presence.

After the acquisition of London-based dark fiber provider Geo Networks it now controls a 100 route mile London network.

Virtus now has access to 77,000 miles of fiber in eight countries and connectivity to 650 data centers world wide, according to Cresswell.

“Our customers will get unparalleled access to anywhere in London,” Cresswell said.
